On the 05 November 2011 I went to MTN in Protea Gardens to put a claim on my MTN insurance as I have lost my phone. I filled all the relevant documents and gave the branch all the required documents for my claim to be processed. On the 15 Nov 2011 I received a call from a lady, she introduced herself and informed me that my claim is handled by her and its approved for a Nokia E 5. I then asked her why E5 because I’m insured for R 3 000.00 and E 5 value has depreciated.
She then told me that’s how they work, when I claim I get the same that I was using. I then informed her that I was never informed of such information when I insured my phone and this is totally unacceptable. I’m expecting to get the phone of a value of R 3000 because that’s what I’m covered for. She then told me that she will investigate and listen to the call. She will come back to me the following day. Since that conversation I’ve never received any call or feedback from this woman.
I’m running out of patients. I want my phone to be replaced according to what I’m covered for and I’m not going to compromise. I’m paying my insurance every month and I expect to be compensated according to what I’m covered for.
